For Immediate Release
To the members of the Manual Therapy Community,
Six years ago, when we began the development of the International Consortium on Manual Therapies (ICMT) and the ICMT Inaugural Conference, no one would have dreamed that we would be heading into the third year of an unpredictable pandemic four months prior to our conference. The ICMT executive committee has deliberated on the current unprecedented spike in the number of COVID cases globally, the recent scientific evidence about the virus, and our responsibility as healthcare providers to help keep the global community safe.
We have reluctantly decided to transition the ICMT Inaugural Conference from a hybrid conference to a virtual-only conference based on these deliberations.
Committed to delivering a groundbreaking conference to members of the manual therapy community, we will be using an innovative, online “virtual venue” for the ICMT Inaugural Conference. We are enthusiastic that by using this format, we will be able to better engage the manual therapy community during this pandemic. We are confident that this platform will create a dynamic experience for all attendees that satisfies both their goals and the goals of the conference.
For those who have already registered for the on-site conference, we will contact you via email within the next two weeks to make appropriate adjustments to your registration fees. If you have not registered, you can now do so with confidence, knowing that you can participate in the conference, engage with your manual therapy colleagues from across the globe about the latest insights from the field of manual therapy, all from the safety of your usual environment.
Please go to https://www.ICMTConference.org/ and follow our social media pages for updates about the ICMT 2022 Inaugural Conference.
Researchers in manual therapies will join together in May of 2022, for the inaugural International Consortium on Manual Therapies (ICMT) Conference. The ICMT is an organization of assembled international leaders dedicated to advancing the quality of patient and client care provided by practitioners of manual therapy through scientific collaboration. The ICMT working groups draw from the basic sciences, chiropractic, massage therapy, osteopathic, physical therapy and structural integration professions bringing modern clinician viewpoints together with scientific research foundations. The ICMT Conference 2022, hosted by the A.T. Still Research Institute, a division of A.T. Still University, is a conference held globally via an interactive web platform. The Conference program will actively engage attendees to help shape the future of collaboration and research in manual therapies.
